Russia Says It Shot Down Ukrainian Bombs, Drones
The Russian Defense Ministry reported that its air defense systems intercepted 33 Ukrainian drones near the country's western border zones.
“On-duty air defense systems downed 13 Ukrainian fixed-wing unmanned aerial vehicles, 12 over the Bryansk Region and one over the Kaluga Region” between 9:30 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. Moscow Time (0630 - 0900 GMT), the ministry stated.
The ministry further reported that an additional 20 fixed-wing drones were shot down in the next two hours — with eight over Bryansk, seven above Smolensk, three in Kursk, and two near Kaluga.
