Axio BioPharma and The Bioforge Partner to Unlock Historical Biomanufacturing Data for AI-Driven Process Optimization

Partnership pairs Axio Lattice with BioOptima AI™ to unlock historical process knowledge while preserving data ownership

MADISON, WI, UNITED STATES, August 10, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ -- Axio BioPharma, a vendor-neutral data infrastructure company for biomanufacturing, today announced a strategic partnership with The Bioforge, developer of the BioOptima AI™ platform, to help biopharmaceutical companies unlock historical process data and use it to inform future development and manufacturing decisions.

Through the collaboration, the companies will work to establish interoperability between Axio Lattice and BioOptima AI™. The planned connection is intended to help customers make process data comparable across sites, systems, and organizations while allowing the underlying data to remain within its original environment and under the control of its existing owner.

BioOptima AI™ tells scientists which experiment to run next by continuously learning from experimental and process data. The platform delivers value from the first experiment, even for customers with little or no historical data, and continuously improves as every new experimental results are generated.

Axio Lattice is a vendor-neutral coordination and translation layer for biomanufacturing data. For companies with years of process information distributed across systems such as laboratory information management systems, manufacturing execution systems, electronic laboratory notebooks, historians, enterprise resource planning platforms, and quality management systems, Lattice is designed to make that information comparable without requiring it to be copied into a centralized repository.

Together, the platforms are intended to give biomanufacturers a pathway to begin AI-supported process optimization using both newly generated information and existing process knowledge that may otherwise remain fragmented across sites and systems.

The problem compounds when a program spans two companies. A sponsor and its manufacturing partner each hold part of the process record, and neither will put raw process data into a system the other operates. Consolidating into a single repository is not an option either side will accept. Moving all of that data into a new centralized system can also create operational, security, ownership, and information technology challenges.

The planned Axio Lattice and BioOptima AI™ workflow is intended to address that gap. Lattice would coordinate and translate process information so it can be compared across environments, while BioOptima AI™ would use the resulting context to guide experimental decisions. The data would remain where it is currently stored, without changing ownership.
