TROY, MI, UNITED STATES, August 20, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ -- The National Veteran Business Development Council (NVBDC) is pleased to announce that the Michigan Economic Development Corporation (MEDC) will attend and exhibit at the 2026 NVBDC National Conference, taking place October 4–6, 2026, at MotorCity Casino Hotel in Detroit, Michigan.

Themed Mission: POSSIBLE, this year’s conference will bring together veteran-owned businesses, corporate procurement professionals, supplier inclusion leaders, economic development organizations, and business decision-makers from across the country for three days focused on connections, education, growth, and opportunity.

MEDC’s participation will provide veteran business owners with an opportunity to connect directly with representatives, learn more about resources available to support business growth, and better understand programs that can help Michigan companies expand, compete, and pursue new opportunities.
“Having MEDC participate in the NVBDC National Conference brings tremendous value to veteran entrepreneurs, particularly as we host this year’s event in Detroit,” said Elaine M. Taylor, Executive Director of NVBDC. “Veteran business owners need more than certification. They need access to resources, relationships, education, and opportunities that can help them grow. MEDC’s presence strengthens that entire ecosystem.”

The 2026 NVBDC National Conference will feature one-on-one matchmaking, networking opportunities, educational sessions, expert-led panels, breakout sessions, a Veteran Marketplace, and direct engagement with corporate, government, and economic development representatives.
Veteran-owned businesses attending the conference are encouraged to visit the MEDC exhibit to learn more about business development resources, growth programs, available support, and opportunities to strengthen their companies and expand into new markets.

Through NVBDC 3.0 and Mission: POSSIBLE, NVBDC continues to broaden its focus beyond certification by helping veteran-owned businesses become better prepared, better connected, and better positioned for long-term growth.
