The Meghan Rose Bradley Foundation was established in December 2004 in memory of Meghan Bradley, who passed away from brain cancer in November 2004. Since its founding, the organization has worked to increase public awareness of pediatric brain cancer through education and advocacy while raising funds for research aimed at improving treatment and saving children's lives.

Pediatric brain cancer remains an important area of medical research. According to information published by the Meghan Rose Bradley Foundation, approximately 3,140 children under the age of 20 are diagnosed with primary brain tumors each year, including approximately 2,000 children ages 16 and under. The Foundation also notes that researchers continue to investigate potential genetic and environmental factors associated with these tumors.

Supporting research is at the heart of the Foundation's mission. The Foundation currently supports research led by Dr. Ulrike Gerdemann at Boston Children’s Hospital, focused on improving immunotherapy for brain cancer. The research is examining why certain brain cancers can evade targeting by killer T cells and exploring ways to modify existing immunotherapies to make them more effective against a broader range of brain cancers.
