ExpoFP CEO at IMEX America 2026: How Interactive Floor Plans Can Drive Event Revenue

ExpoFP CEO Ross Sudentas and Marie Oyinlola of Churie Events showed organizers how floor plans and sponsorship placements can open new event revenue.

LAS VEGAS, NV, UNITED STATES, October 30, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ -- ExpoFP, the provider of the official interactive floor plan for IMEX America 2026, used its presence at this year's show to make a broader case to event organizers: the floor plan is not only an operational tool, but a revenue channel.

On October 14, ExpoFP CEO Ross Sudentas joined Marie Oyinlola of Churie Events for the educational session "Leading Growth Behind the Scenes" at the Inspiration Hub's Curious Minds Theater. The session covered how organizers can find new revenue inside the platforms they already use, build more valuable sponsorship packages, and align sales and operations teams to deliver them.
"In the back office view, the floor plan is just a drawing. In a growth view, the floor plan is a storefront," said Ross Sudentas, CEO of ExpoFP.

From floor plan to storefront
Sudentas outlined several ways an interactive floor plan can support sales. Real-time booth availability replaces static PDFs that go out of date and cause double bookings. Scheduled rebooking windows let exhibitors reserve next year's space while the current show is still running, which creates urgency and secures a large share of future inventory before the next sales cycle begins.
He also described how AI can analyze a floor plan to identify high-demand and low-demand areas, so organizers can price booths by location and demand rather than by size alone.
"You can actually use AI to analyze the floor plan to see where you have hot zones, and when you have cold zones," Sudentas said.

Sponsorship inventory organizers already own
According to Sudentas, event apps and interactive maps contain digital placements that often go unsold. These include exhibitor logos on booths, featured positions in search results, and enhanced company profiles with videos and brochures. Packaged into sponsorship tiers, they add value for exhibitors and revenue for the event.
"If Google would suddenly decide not to run any ads, that would be absurd," Sudentas said. "Just start selling it and put it on your revenue sheet, not on your expense budget."

Navigation beyond the exhibition hall
The session also addressed the attendee journey, which extends across hotels, transport hubs, meeting rooms and networking venues. For IMEX America 2026, ExpoFP powered the floor plan inside the official event app, with blue-dot navigation, touchscreen kiosks, additional meeting spaces and an expanded Las Vegas city map with points of interest and wayfinding directions. Sudentas framed the goal around three questions every attendee asks: Where is it? When does it start? How do I get there?

Sales and operations working together
Oyinlola, who brings experience in international event management and sponsorship strategy, stressed that operations teams should be involved early in decisions on sponsorship inventory, pricing and deliverables. That way, packages are both commercially attractive and realistic to deliver on site.
"There's no sales without operation. There's no operation without sales," said Marie Oyinlola of Churie Events.
